Intentions and Aspirations

Hello readers,

My intention in starting this blog is simple, its almost a log entry of whatever successes and failures I face along the journey of creating the first application specific Indian Microprocessor.

The Indian Microprocessor Dream can come true when a healthy ecosystem is in place. The idea is to create a community based innovation and monetization platform for creating the Indian Microprocessor based on OpenSPARC design.


a) Create a Web 2.0 collab platform around OpenSPARC

b) Create a OpenSPARC design CoE

c) Seed an ecosystem consisting of:

I) Designers/Prospective designers

II) IP (Intellectual Property) creation and licensing process

III) Partners like: Fabs, FPGA, EDA vendors

IV) SoC design vendors and end use customers:

can out-source innovation/license existing properties.

V) IP protection consulting and fair share process


Eventually the aspiration is that our efforts yield proportional results culminating into an ecosystem where application specific microprocessors are being designed by Indians and then being manufactured for mass usage.
